"Playground was disappointing"
The zoo itself was okay, okay enough for a short visit, but the playground was kind of a letdown. It felt worn down in a few spots, and some areas looked old and not super clean. My kids got bored really fast, like really fast. I just expected a bit better from a place that’s supposed to be so family-friendly.

We checked louisvillezoo.org before going, and I’m glad we did because it gave us a good idea of what to expect. The walking paths were one of the best parts of the visit — wide, clean, and easy to follow, even with kids constantly stopping to look at something or ask questions.
There are a few hills, but nothing that felt overwhelming as long as we slowed down and enjoyed the moment. The signs were helpful, and we never felt turned around. It ended up being a simple, nice day out, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need, just walking together, seeing the animals, and not feeling rushed

"At first, I thought the food prices..."
At first, I thought the food prices were reasonable, especially the snacks for the kids. They were cheap enough that I didn’t mind grabbing a few. But after noticing a couple of price changes and not feeling totally sure what I’d be charged, it kind of made me trust the place a little less.

"Decent day out, but pricey and a little confusing"
We had a decent time at the Louisville Zoo overall. Some areas were really nice, and the kids definitely enjoyed seeing the animals. That said, between the ticket prices and snacks, it added up quickly. I also felt like the next steps weren’t always super clear, like where to go after certain exhibits or what was included versus extra, so we spent some time just trying to figure things out. Not a bad day by any means, but for the money, I wish it felt a bit more organized and offered a little more.

"So easy to get around!"
I loved how clear the signs were at the zoo. It made finding the animals, bathrooms, and exits feel completely stress-free. I never once felt lost or frustrated, which made the whole visit so much more enjoyable.

"Parking was easy, but the waiting was annoying"
I found a spot really fast and it was super close to the entrance, which was nice. the parking part was no hassle at all, I just wish I hadn’t had to wait around so long once I got inside

I was able to find the zoo info really quickly, and the site worked well with my screen reader. Tickets and hours were easy to get to, which made the whole planning process feel a lot less stressful. It’s nice when a site just works the way it should, because it means I can focus more on looking forward to the visit instead of fighting with the details

"Restrooms Need More Attention"
We had an okay visit to the Louisville Zoo, but the restrooms were disappointing. A few stalls looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while, and there was paper all over the floor. What made it more annoying was that it wasn’t really clear who was supposed to be taking care of it, staff, cleaning crew, or some outside company. For a place that gets so many families, you’d think someone would be clearly responsible for keeping them in better shape. The zoo itself was fine, but the bathrooms definitely need work

I had a really fun visit. The seasonal exhibits were my favorite part — they felt fresh and kind of made me want to wander around longer than I planned. Just a nice, easy outing, and... yeah, I’d definitely go back.

"The membership has been totally worth it for our family!!!"
We got a Louisville Zoo membership this year i’m so glad we did!!! We’ve already been several times, so it feels like it basically paid for itself fast. I love that we can just pop in for a couple hours and not feel like we have to cram the whole zoo into one day!!! Parking and getting in have been super easy too, which is always a win with kids. If you’ve got little ones, I’d definitely say the membership is worth it!!!

"Animals seemed well cared for"
When we visited, most of the animals looked healthy and calm, which was nice to see. that made me feel good about the place. Some of the enclosures did look a little small or outdated though, so I was kind of disappointed by that. Still, overall it seemed like they care about the animals, and I hope they keep updating the habitats.

"Fun Events, If You Enjoy Becoming Part of the Line"
The events are genuinely fun and have a great vibe, but the lines can get ridiculously long sometimes. Nothing says a good time like spending half the event slowly shuffling forward, right?

"Clean, easy, and really enjoyable to visit"
We had a really nice time at the zoo. The whole place felt clean and well looked after, from the walking paths to the bathrooms and food areas. Even with lots of families and kids around, it never felt messy or chaotic. From our experience, it made the visit so much more relaxing and easy to enjoy.

The zoo itself was fine, but the online map was annoying to use. It kept lagging, and zooming in and out was harder than it should’ve been. Not sure how to explain it, but it just felt clunky, and we ended up getting turned around a few times.

"A Sweet Little End to Our Zoo Day"
We popped into the gift shop after finishing up at the zoo, it was such a nice, happy little stop. The kids were still in that excited animal-loving mood and found a few really cute toys to take home. Prices were reasonable too, which was a pleasant surprise. The person at checkout was friendly, and it just made leaving feel a bit more special. Perfect spot to grab a small souvenir before heading out.

had a fun time at the zoo, but the food didn’t really stand out. the fries were decent, but the burger was a little dry and the prices felt high for what we got. it wasn’t bad, just not quite as good as i was hoping

"Saw a lot more animals than we thought we would"
We had a really nice day at the Louisville Zoo. It was one of those visits where they were actually out and easy to spot, even the big cats, which was a fun surprise. The kids were super into it and kept wanting to go back to see them again.
